Goodbye Summer 2015! EI, Bears Den, NYC, Growing Stage...


Summer 2015 has come to an end for Don and I. We start back to work full time tomorrow. But we ended with a bang! Here is a photo compilation of our last month of summer:


1: mid - end of July - we had our annual beach week at Emerald Isle, NC - this was year #13 for us!! So much fun with all of the family, and this year Carleigh's friend, Ana joined us for the week!!!

2. Bears Den for sunset - early August - we took Carleigh and some of her friends up for a sunset hike -

 
 
 


3. August - Don goes camping in PA with the guys - yep, he had a "boy party in the woods" for 3 nights!


 
 
 
 
 

4. Girls trip to NYC - Katie, Rina and I went on an overnight to NYC to see The Lion King on Broadway!

We were one of the only people at the stage door for The Lion King - it was great!!

home the next morning - a quick 24 hours.

And summer comes to an end.....but...we are gearing up for:
  • Carleigh in 10th grade, 
  • Katie in 8th grade, 
  • Laura still in 7th grade, and 
  • Don still in 6th grade! 

 Also stay tuned for:
  • JV Volleyball updates from Carleigh
  • Volleyball updates from Katie - she made the 7th/8th grade "Open" team
  • Afterschool musical theater class for Katie
  • Carleigh working for the LVHS Newspaper
  • and Laura and Don driving them around for all of these events. ;)
  • Don is also counting down to the December release of the new Star Wars movie - that is a HUGE event in our house!!

 But we can't forget planning for our next vacations.....

  1. Carleigh will be traveling to Orlando in November for a Journalism conference, will Laura chaperone? (I hope so!)
  2. Preparing for our spring break cruise - Disney cruise to Grand Cayman, Bahamas and Cozumel with a Star Wars Day at Sea!!!

So, though summer is over.....stay tuned because our Rahn house is just as busy as ever and enjoying our lives as we live "Seldom a Dull Moment!"
