The Story Behind Seldom A Dull Moment

Seldom A Dull Moment started as an inside joke—a playful phrase Don and I used even before we got married to describe the energy and unpredictability of our lives together. Whether we were planning our next adventure or just trying to keep up with everyday chaos, there was always something happening… and it was seldom dull.

Over time, that phrase became something more. It captured the way we live our lives—embracing the joy, the mishaps, and all the magical in-between moments that come with raising a family. As our daughters grew, we made it a priority to travel together, exploring places like Alaska, Hawaii, Belize, Disney World, and countless national parks. Those trips didn’t just fill photo albums—they filled our hearts and gave us stories we still laugh about at the dinner table.

After retiring from a 33-year career in public education, I knew I wasn’t done helping families grow and connect. I wanted to take what I’d learned—both in the classroom and on the road—and use it to support other busy parents. So, I became a certified Family Travel Coach and launched Seldom A Dull Moment to help families like yours dream, design, and depart on unforgettable adventures. Through my affiliation with Boutique Travel Advisors, I also offer access to curated luxury travel experiences—because your family deserves something truly special.
