We woke up early that morning and were at the entrance to Glacier before 7:00 a.m. We were very excited to explore this brand new (to us) National Park.
The land was beautiful and so many different photo - ops along the way. We drove the 41 mile Going to the Sun Road. It is the main road that cuts through the park and the easiest way to get from one side to the other.
The land was beautiful and I loved all of the layers and shades of the mountains |
About halfway across the Going to the Sun Road and at the highest point - we stopped at Logan Pass and did a 3 mile hike. Lots of snow still at that elevation. We hiked to Hidden Lake Overlook and our research told us to look out for Mountain Goats....
As we approached the end of the trail - there they were. Just wandering around the boardwalk area. They were very cute and we spent about 30 minutes watching them play. The two little guys were very cute!
Selfie with the goats |
now to hike back |
After Many Glaciers we left the park and began the trek to Canada. We were entering Canada and staying in Lethbridge, a couple hours away from Glacier and only 3 hours from our final stop.
This says it all - miles of open land after we got away from Glacier |
Hello Canada! |
no filter - the land as we were driving through Alberta towards Lethbridge |
We arrived in Lethbridge, Alberta (Canada) and spent the night at a great Hampton Inn. We got to sleep in a bit the next morning, and then drive 3 hours to our final stop.
Stay tuned for: Banff National Park and the Rimrock Resort Hotel
